KUMA Chef's Knife 8 " - Kitchen & Dining

This is a very nice knife but I don't think it's Damascus like you'd be led to believe. Sharp edge but won't hold an edge as good quality steel should. It requires a full sharpening every few uses when all it takes is a few quick passes over the bar (or stick) every other time or so.After using it a few months I found slag on the blade plaque along the edge. I had to sharpen the blade at least 1/32" to get past it and then re-sharpen the blade. It's fine now, but a lot of unnecessary work. All in all. not a terrible knife but definitely not worth the money they charge there are much better knives for that price or even less. This is a $25 chef's knife that they charge $100 because it's more of an ornament than a commodity. I would not recommend this knife for any f-chef or home cook.
