Bought this after our initial tether broke. So, I was out with our 75 pound pup who loves to sprint. We have trees around our property and, on this certain warpath sprint, he circled the tree and made a bee line to me. Knowing what was about to happen (him running to his usual leash length that was now shortened by said tree), I tried to stop him. Thinking it would either hurt him or pull this tether apart. Instead, he ran right by my stop sign. Likely a move he picked up from me. As he ran by, my plan B was to tell him to stop. Fortunately, he did. But only after his collar broke and this tether whiplashed back the full 25 feet. Unlike his collar (now in 3 pieces), the tether was completely intact. Holding up to a 75 pound dog at full sprint is rather impressive.
