Review on 🐠 Tetra No More Algae Tablets 8 Count: Effective Algae Control for Aquariums by Sara Murphy

I have had aquariums for over 20 years and have never had so much trouble getting rid of algae blooms in my tank. I normally use the Algaefix Algae Control Aquarium Solution API (which was out of stock at Revain) but due to COVID I had to order what is available at Revain for fast delivery. I had high hopes for this product based on the high reviews. It is very easy to dose, just 1 tablet per 10 gallons of water. Remove the activated carbon filter during use. There are no other directions that could be part of the problem. First I removed all algae from the glass and jewelry and removed the activated carbon filter. I actually removed the artificial plants and placed them in boiling water. Then I soaked all the decorations and plants in a solution of aquarium salt for a week. I then did a 50% water change and checked the alkalinity (which was fine). I then added two tablets for my 20 gallon tank. After 72 hours there was no change. I changed 25% of the water and re-dosed. After 48 hours there was still no difference. I changed 25% of the water, put in new filters and waited a week. This time I set the tank lights to only 6 hours a day. Then I dosed the tank in the same way. Again no difference. Then I did it again and again and again. Two boxes of pills and two months and my tank is just as bad as when it started. Finally I ordered the API Algaefix Algae Control Aquarium Solution and my aquarium was crystal clear in 1 day. I hope this review was helpful to you!
