Good idea but poorly executed. First, the key is NOT universal. Different toilet seats have different fittings. It was too big for the nuts on my toilet. A 5/8 inch deep head would fit, but it was too big. I ended up having to fiddle with pliers to unscrew the old one. This unit was a replacement for the hardware that came with the new toilet seat. However, he didn't like it when I tightened it, which is necessary to eliminate the "wobble" of the toilet seat that he was supposed to eliminate. A plastic screwdriver was useless for this purpose. still have to pry out the deep clutch to do additional tightening if we hope the seat will stay in place neatly. Maybe another brand with a similar design might work. If you have a set of deep jacks, try this one instead
