I tried all these cheap models and it turned out that they are made of the same mass. I have a Lenovo x220 and all the cheap ones I've tried won't connect to the card's internal wiring. It may work briefly and then lose contact. It seems to be hanging there. It still doesn't snap into place, so if you tug on the cable it can pull the card out. But it fits tighter and the connection is good. I definitely notice a speed difference. I use it for an astrological camera and it doesn't work with USB2.
