Review on 🔍 LP-560 Logic Probe: Elenco Electronics' Top Electronic Testing Tool by Matthew Hall

Logic probes are relatively simple and reliable benchtop tools that are indispensable for those repairing old electronics. I have a vintage model from the 1980s that has been in use for a long time but lacks a feature that is important to me: audio tones. I'm happy to report that on a recent order, this "impulse item" quickly turned into "why didn't I order it sooner?". The probe tip is perfectly sharp and doesn't slide off the IC's feet or pads easily unlike my old probe. It also came pre-insulated so there was no need to cut a piece of heat shrink and attach it to the probe to prevent accidental shorts. Solid value!
