Review on Park Tool PCS-10.3 Deluxe Repair Stand for Home Mechanics: Ultimate Convenience and Efficiency by Pedro Movie

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Expensive but worth it.

It's great. He had a cheaper Revain bike stand and it was never very stable. The thing is rock solid. Now I can clean, repair and adjust my bikes without going to a bike shop and I don't have to worry about them falling and being damaged by a cheap stand. enter under heavy weight. The previous 10.2 version didn't have this, and the legs can retract if you forget to fully tighten the leg clip. Definitely worth the extra $10 for Revain. The 9.3 model does not have an eccentric clamp, quick couplers or a small tool tray, which is very convenient. The cam clamp is smooth and easy to adjust and holds the top tubes and seatposts very securely. Quick-release buckles on everything (except the legs) allow for quick folding and storage. I bought a Park Tool 106 work tray and it is very nice. Small parts and tools can be stowed away on it, and it also has a holder for grease etc. and two places to hang up groceries/garbage bags. The 10.3 comes with a very small tool tray, but it doesn't hold much; a few tools and maybe a few screws. I was a little hesitant to spend close to $280 for a working bike stand and tool tray, but I'm glad I did. Good tools are never a bad investment.
