I needed flexible attachment points for my Toyota Tundra bed rail. Those brackets really help. Since I didn't bother to read the instructions, it initially looked like they wouldn't work due to the bulge at the bottom of the bed rail. But I figured out how to move the back of the clamp mechanism so it goes around the edge. Now I'm a happy tourist. Some reviewers say the hook material is flimsy; I think it's thick enough. You apply linear pressure to it (pulling along the material) and not lateral pressure (at right angles to the material). I'm pretty sure you would have pulled your bed rail out of shape before the clip broke. That said, I probably won't go off-road with a fridge strapped to my bed, but for medium-duty they'll certainly do the job.
