Works great with Android Auto
I bought this for Android Auto compatibility. I have a Seicane head unit based on Android 8.0. At first I had an issue where my phone was slowly draining because the device wasn't passing enough current to charge it. To improve this, after this dongle I connected an externally powered USB hub that supports BC 1.2 and used a good quality USB-A to USB-C cable. I have the Autokit app running automatically on my head unit when it wakes up, to make sure my phone connects without problems. The app allows you to remap buttons within the app itself, which comes in handy when the default behavior doesn't work as expected.
