I've never owned an electric coffee grinder. However, I always had salt and pepper grinders that had to be ground manually. I wasn't expecting to like the electric ones, thinking it would spoil the atmosphere when using the manual ones. But that's not the case! I love it! They're smooth, so easy to use, and the first time I used them I squeaked (just a little) when I realized there was a light underneath to help with the sanding. It is very comfortable. Overall this is a great set. Extremely functional and at the same time very refined for any table decoration.
