Review on NTK 24346 Oxygen Sensor by Chris Hayes

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Perfect O2 Heater Sensor Replacement Part For 2008 Honda Odyssey Bank 1 Sensor 1. Fixed Code P0134.

Purchased for my 2008 Honda Odyssey, Bank 1, Sensor 1 (top of engine - back against firewall). This is the correct OEM replacement part. I had a P0134 engine code and decided to replace this O2 heater sensor myself to see if that fixed the issue. After installing this new sensor, I received an engine code P0135 (open circuit). Hence the reason for my 4 instead of 5 star rating. There are 5 pins in the electrical connection and one of them somehow got completely bent and didn't fit the socket on my first try. The way this connector is set up is quite difficult for something like this to happen. I visually inspected the pins in the new sensor before installing the sensor and didn't notice anything out of the ordinary, but this pin must have been bent just enough not to do so. I was able to just unplug the electrical connector (without removing the sensor from the cylinder block), find the problem, and straighten the bent pin. I reconnected very carefully and slowly and thankfully everything is fine now. Thank goodness because that part alone at my local Honda dealership is $240 after tax! Not to mention how much I would have had to pay the Honda dealer labor to get this job done if my attempt to fix it myself hadn't worked. If everything had gone well on my first try, I would have spent about an hour total on this job.
