I bought this to replace a similar gate latch I bought from Home Depot about five years ago. It started falling apart. The rivet holding the locking mechanism fell out so while I was only able to secure it with a small screw, I figured I might as well buy a new one for such a great price. I'm glad I did. While this one looks similar, it's actually slightly larger and noticeably heavier and stronger. The only drawback was the supplied short screws. Shorter than those that come with the old latch. But that's such a trivial complaint that it's not even worth a point deduction. Means? Just find some longer ones. I used two from an old bar. Problem solved.
