So I wanted to do a quick unboxing review and then update it after the lock was installed. First impression - wow! This lock is strong! It is very heavy and appears to be very strong and durable. I really liked the weight. I put the batteries in and ran the lock/unlock sequence and the locking mechanism seemed to work fine. Pros: - Very durable, heavy weight, seems to last a long time! - The locking mechanism moves smoothly and easily - The buttons are easy to press - The backlight color is nice and pleasing to the eye - There are multiple ways to open it - The instruction manual is very easy to read and follow - surprisingly, With example step-by-step instructions, it definitely feels like it was written in English. .Cons: - The backlight goes out VERY quickly! It literally stays on for about 2-3 seconds (see my video!) - Batteries are not included (I don't remember seeing this anywhere in the description and assumed it came with batteries. No. - Doorknob inside to close it. much smaller and you can only use your fingertips. annoying but not a deal breaker. so far those are my only cons. overall i really like the lock and i have my fingers crossed that it fits at home when i ordered.probably everything would have been so quick.Installation tip - make sure the door latch is installed nice and tight and the rest of the installation goes smoothly.Also I noticed that the door knob is very small on the inside when you walk around it close.
