Installation Issues: Electrical

I bought this horn so my petite Honda could get the attention of any other car that tried to pull me off the road. This audio signal is ideal for this. However, installing a supercharger in a car was quite a challenge. The main issue is the mounting groove cast into the side of the compressor housing and the pathetic fasteners that come with the kit. Slot and eventually falls out of the slot, effectively removing the compressor from the car. I ended up putting a tie over the mounting slot to keep the bolt from going through the slot and staying secure. Supercharger and horns, and even then you never know the nuts won't loosen and something will either rattle or fall off. I ended up replacing the bolt with a longer, installed lock washer and securing the ground wire with a nylon nut. Third, the included flimsy mounts leave a lot to be desired. When I finally attached the bracket to the supercharger, it didn't protrude far enough out of the computer case to mount the supercharger to the car. I ended up putting 2 brackets together and installing the edge bracket on the car, but I had to drill a larger mounting hole to fit the screw that attaches to the original horn bracket. As for the beeps themselves, since I had to use 2 of them. Mounts for the compressor, both horns were not enough. So I reused the horns from my old horn and just secured them with zip ties, which worked fine. All I really needed was a new compressor. I have some good horns to give to anyone who wants them. I have an overall rating of 3 stars for this air horn, but that's only because the compressor worked and I got it to make a loud noise. I got 1 star for the editing but it should have been less.
