This pump is well made and works well. The needle comes with a pump and is stored in the pen. I have used/owned small hand pumps from Spaulding, Wilson and Sportcraft. All are about the same price, $10. This is the best processed. You can pump balls without balancing the pump on the ball because this pump has a flexible hose. This is a great feature. It took a minimal amount of work to inflate a basketball with this pump. For $10, it's pretty good too.
