If you have perforated eardrums or sensitive ears, READ IT!

This will be long, but worth reading for everyone who thinks along! For the past year I have struggled with treatments and surgery for stage 3 breast cancer. As I continue to live the life I love and try to keep living it, some of my greatest happiness comes from water! Namely snorkeling and underwater photography. I had a perforated eardrum because of chemotherapy. Who even knew this was a possible side effect?! This was discovered when I tried surfing twice this summer and both times when I got in the water I immediately screamed from the pain in my ears. Run two rounds of medication for ear infections. Pooh. As a result, I went to the ENT, where I was diagnosed. (If you can feel air coming out of your ear when you try to open your ear, IT's a perforation!) Hopefully it will heal over time, but I've been given strict instructions to stay out of the water. Well I'm not giving up lol and booked a trip to Puerto Rico. Now I will say that according to the attached photo I managed to snorkel. But I was extremely prepared - not only did I wear these, I wore earplugs too! The good ones. Don't skimp - get the good ones! And he brought prescription ear drops. DIVINE water has entered. I didn't want any problems down there, and then I panicked because I had to see a PR doctor. Don't be stupid, you should be fine! I made it my mission not to dive for photos. I just bought a longer extension cable for my GoPro. After that, the bridge of my nose hurt like hell. I don't know if it was because the mask was so heavy it pulled my nose or something, but it goes without saying that while I could look like a geek, that's why I could and it was worth it yourself Togo! Surfing Next summer I'll take the initiative and order earplugs from ENT for my ears. I also suggest trying them in the pool first before you cast caution aside and jump into the sea. Much luck! ๐Ÿ‘ โค๏ธ
