Review on 🍳 Lodge Manufacturing 12-Inch Carbon Steel Skillet - Black/Orange: Premium Cookware for Effortless Cooking by Derrick Milkie

Very dissatisfied customer

We wanted a carbon steel pan to replace our commonly used non-stick pans as the latter are considered unhealthy and the former should be a good substitute. We turned to our favorite ironmaker. The frying pan came, irrevocably, "brewed". Since I use a lot of cast iron and did a little research, I seasoned it a few times before first use. It's been used 4 times since we got it, we use some form of fat before each use, and it's seasoned after cleaning - and that happens every time it's used (see pic). It's almost impossible to cleanβ€”the Lodge scrubber doesn't work, and by the time the sticky residue is finally scraped off, whatever seasoning I made will be essentially gone, too. I can't express how dissatisfied I am with this $40+ non-refundable pot that is so incredibly cheap. Attention buyers, forewarned is forearmed. My husband summed it up like this: The manufacturer has to stick with cast iron, where he is the absolute expert. I do not agree.
