I used these nails on my first upholstery project. They look great on a chair upholstered in copper-colored leather. Nailing them straight down takes practice. Many buckled or slipped off center on the final hit due to a kink at the junction of the cap and the nail under the cap. Use needle-nosed pliers to set them as low as possible, then with a final dead-center blow, push them back into their original position. I have found that the Dritz Nail Spacing Guide helps set the correct spacing, but when driving a full set of nails, unscrewing the guide will cause the nails to bend irretrievably.
