Review on TRENDnet TU3-ETG: USB 3.0 to Gigabit Ethernet Adapter - High Speeds, Full Duplex 2Gbps, Windows & Mac Compatible by Will Kern

It works with my Acer Chromebook 15 but does not report/show that it is connected/working. Reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the lack of paper instructions. Use it with Acer Chromebook 15 and it works but shows not connected/working. I got lucky and tried to check if I have an ethernet connection. It worked and very quickly. The connection is simple/simple: plug the RJ45 ethernet into the trendnet connection slot and connect the USB connection to my Acer 3.0 USB port. However, there is no icon to indicate that you are connected to an Ethernet network. Now I can use my Acer Chromebook 15 as a desktop computer. With the above connections, I'm using an HDMI cable to connect my Chromebook to my new 22-inch View Sonic monitor. I also use a Logitech USB wireless keyboard/mouse. My View Sonic monitor displays incredible HD images. With this setup, the Acer Chromebook 15 is very fast. I can sit in my comfortable office chair and do whatever I need to do with the increased security of an Ethernet connection versus WiFi with a USB keyboard/mouse on my portable lapdesk. I'm in my family room with ethernet connected to a TP-Link at the nearest outlet and connected to my Acer Chromebook 15 and I used that connection to place an order with Revain for use with my Android tablet.
