Review on 🔧 OTC 6297 Ball Joint Separator Tool by Henry Brown

Let me start by saying that with many purchases over the 3-4 years since I created my Amazon account, this is the only review I have ever written. The reason is that this tool works very well! It's a versatile tool so it might not be perfect for your application, but it worked wonders on my Mazda 6 2.3 05! I've spent the last week trying every method I can think of! Hammer, pickle fork, gear puller, propane torch, penetrating oil and even my BFH. Nothing, I mean nothing caused the ball joint to come loose! When I received this instrument I was skeptical because it appears to be sturdy but appeared to be poorly assembled as it had gaps between the upper and lower jaws. I smeared the threads with anti-seize and started twisting. I twisted it as tight as I could with my 1/2" ratchet in a tight space and tapped on the lower jaw just below the hinge and it popped right out! It took me less than 5 minutes to make the remaining 3 ball joints. Everyone jumped along little effort. This is a must have tool as I kicked a lot last week and called my car by every name in the book! Highly recommend!
