Half of army men will break after 2 uses

I got it as a present for my girlfriend's son. I gave it to him last Thursday and while the kids were playing with it 23 broke his legs off. He used them again last night and at least 20 more were taken off within 5 minutes. The kid likes them, but the ones sold at the dollar store last longer than this pack. A little disappointed. And no, the kids didn't step on it, they built a fortress from all the fragments and framed the guys.
