*Update from original review: We have a spare base that is fully functional. The customer rating remains pretty poor, but the replacement base works well. My daughter loves her Osmo and the games she has. She prefers the detective game and plays it almost every day. Still frustrated with how the whole experience turned out but happy with the working base. I have to say we were delighted to purchase Osmo as a Christmas present. We bought an awesome kit, fire and five games from Osmo. My daughter's excitement when she opened the gift was worth it. It faded quickly when we opened it up and set it up. One leg of the base is pinched and the release button is broken. As this was her great gift, we are incredibly disappointed. So I immediately emailed Osmo customer service with a video and an explanation of what was wrong. At first the response was quick and they offered a replacement and asked for more photos. Fast forward a week another reply saying he's caught up in the holiday rush and wants me to try moving him and sent me the same video of this thing playing when it asks you to expand base. I watched the video carefully. I sent a video of how we download it. It's absolutely amazing that we have this broken thing and a few hundred bucks in games and it doesn't work right and their answer is to wiggle it? Even after I posted a video where we tried everything to make it work. Thank you Osmo for turning our excitement and my daughter's Christmas cheer into disappointment and heartache and then not bothering to fix it.
