Review on Native Spring Vegetable Cleaning Zucchini by Lisa Collins

Hooray! Healthy "Pasta! "

I love the Native Spring Spiral Vegetable Cutter. This is a great little gadget. I have a weight loss program that doesn't allow any pasta. When I heard about the spiral cutter, I bought it immediately. Now I can eat "pasta"! Cutting vegetables into small strips with a knife does not have the same effect as spiral cutting. I've only used it with zucchini and yellow squash so far. I love that I can have fettuccine or spaghetti due to the different sized blades. In addition to spaghetti, I also made turkey noodle soup. The slicer comes with a brush and will help with both cleaning and cooking a lot of vegetables and clogging the blades. I like that the spiralizer is small enough to fit in a desk drawer. The only cons for me are: 1. The top doesn't hold up so you have to keep 2 pieces. 2. I want to be able to twist a whole piece of vegetables in a spiral. But my dogs are happy, they get a treat from the leftover piece. However, two disadvantages are not big enough not to buy a spiralizer. I will still buy more than funny gifts stockings etc.

Pros
  • Spiralizer with endless strips of carrots, zucchini, cucumbers, potatoes and other hard veggies for healthy, low-carb vegetable dishes
Cons
  • Infinitely sluggish
