Review on Battery Operated Mr. Gasket Fuel Transfer Pump by Dan Germain

Revainrating 1 out of 5

GARBAGE. Long-term review

Junk. Guarantee 90r. After 9 months of irregular use, the cap over the impeller of the suction hose fell off. I put it back on but it keeps coming off (in the gas tank) rendering the whole thing unusable. The plastic is very thin and brittle considering what it's used for. I bought a similar pump from Harbor Freight for about 1/10th the price, but the flow rate is way too low for a typical 5 gallon canister. The seal has some interesting properties. It runs on 4 AA batteries, has a sensor that turns it off when the tank is full and comes with 3 different adapters for different sized gas bottles. Thanks to the large adapter, I can store it in my VP canister without worrying about fuel quality deterioration, and I don't have to worry about where to store it when I'm not using it. So low it's perfect for filling without tipping, the auto stop prevents spills. CONS: EXPENSIVE, wish the stuffing tube was a foot or two longer.
