Battery Operated Mr. Gasket Fuel Transfer Pump Review

I liked the pump but it doesn't fit my "plastic" tanks, standard by ACE Equipment. You need to supply other adapters with the pump.

Great item! Easy to use, fast, convenient! Just make sure you use the correct cap on YOUR gas cylinder or you may leak. It fits 3 different types of gas cylinders that I have.

The pump does not stay on by itself. It may need to start the siphon, but it won't pump from the gas canister on my truck's bed rail into the truck's gas tank below unless the "on" button is held down. I don't see a reason for the "off" button yet.

Works really well with petrol, diesel and hopefully methanol. I'm getting too old to lift a 5 gallon container 4 1/2 feet onto the hood of my tractor trying not to spill fuel everywhere and it's easy on my back and it's fast. This is my second as I wanted a replacement. Rw

I was thrilled to find it to fuel my motorbike and generator at the track. After about 20 uses I have to tap the pump to start it and the gas gets on my hands. It was an amazing idea in theory, but it won't last longer than Wally World at 1/3 the price.

Junk. Guarantee 90r. After 9 months of irregular use, the cap over the impeller of the suction hose fell off. I put it back on but it keeps coming off (in the gas tank) rendering the whole thing unusable. The plastic is very thin and brittle considering what it's used for. I bought a similar pump from Harbor Freight for about 1/10th the price, but the flow rate is way too low for a typical 5 gallon canister. The seal has some interesting properties.
