I bought one and it helped.
Before the pandemic, I wasn't very good at using WiFi, but the pandemic has made me rely on WiFi more often. To improve Wi-Fi reception, I found that this antenna doubled the number of bands I had. I could be farther from my Wi-Fi router at home and farther from any outside Wi-Fi source when I travel. The included instructions helped me find the best spot for my laptop. This external antenna worked fine for me. I am happy with my purchase.
