As many DIY Prius owners have experienced, replacing the inverter cooling pump is a fairly common and repetitive maintenance item. I usually just put a pan and collected the coolant that spilled when the pump was removed. I decided to try these. no matter. I typically had to replace about a half gallon of coolant after bleeding the system. With these I had to replace about a glass - the amount that filled the hoses after the clamps and the pump itself. Best of all, there is no need to bleed the system as there is no air trapped. Toyota coolant costs about $20 a gallon, so they almost paid for themselves in one use. They also shortened the workday from one hour to 30 minutes.
