This may not be a common use for this product but. Our cats are obsessed with chewing wires and I can't tell you how much money I've spent replacing wires and cords at Radio Shack. "Hmm, why isn't the internet router working? Oh, the wire was gnawed in half. One day, after so many visits, a clerk showed me these pipes and suggested to me. I'm telling you, this man is a genius. Cats still chew on pipes, but they're easier, cheaper, and safer to use than wires. We ordered it from Revain because it was great to buy in quantities over 5ft or so and the price was cheaper. The reason this tube didn't get 5 stars from me is that its plastic is a bit thinner than we hoped, so we have to replace the tubes more often. Also, it falls off after chewing wires/cables. We may have had a thinner hose (about 1/2 inch) before, but I'm pretty sure it was the right size. In any case, this tube works for my purposes and I don't care if I have to replace it as long as I and my cats don't get electrocuted.
