Review on 🧢 Optimized Search: Sunrise Rope Toy for Parakeets, Cockatiels, and Finches - P-84153 by Melissa Moore

My cockatiels love to climb on it!

My 3 and 4 month old cockatiels love to climb and swing on this and chew on the wooden blocks/beads and silver ring on top with a carabiner. The toy hangs vertically (as another reviewer said) with three rope lines supporting the main twine ring. Only one rope is attached to a silver ring and can be easily untied after a lot of chewing/rocking, so be sure to tighten it before putting it in the cage. It should be noted that the blocks and beads are colored with paint that is easily washed off with water and can rub on bird feathers. So don't panic if you notice any red or orange coloring on your bird, only prompt washing and gentle rubbing of the feathers will solve the problem. Just try not to put your bird near this paint or similar toys when they are wet. As a last resort, you should loosen the ropes and remove the pieces of wood. Just make sure the rope doesn't unravel, then tie it together. You can even tie it in the way that suits your bird best. Don't get me wrong, this toy is quite the eye-catcher with its citrus blossoms, but I'm deducting 1 star because the paint rubs off easily. Maybe next time only plastic or wood without dyes? :)

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • A dubious purchase for seniors
