I don't know why people say they don't work well! I tried many different antennas and ended up buying a different one. I get excellent reception when using the XBOX One S TV tuner and LCD TV. I actually glued them together to form a long antenna that fits perfectly in my window. It's almost impossible to spot from the outside unless you know what you're looking for. TIP: I've found the reception to be pretty poor just using the cable that came with it. Just hook up a good bit of coax cable between the amplifier (box with a little red light) and the antenna itself. This dramatically increases reception across the board!
