Review on General Tools IRT207 Laser Temperature Gun, Mid-Range 8:1 Thermal Detector, Infrared Thermometer by Joseph Hall

Our son has been enjoying RC car racing (and car racing) hobbies for a number of years , and he's learned a lot about the impact of proper gearing on runs on all types of surfaces. Preparing for speed runs on tarmac is easy to overload, which creates a lot of heat. too much without a proper cool down time and you'll fry the motor (and sometimes the battery and ESC). He's been talking about getting a heat gun for years and I saw this unit here with good reviews and a good price so we got it for him as a birthday present. It made him really happy and saved him a few bucks. No engine has caught fire from overheating since adding this infrared thermometer to their tool kit. EASY TO USE - It simply removes the car's engine and instantly measures whether or not it needs a break to cool down. The readings are large and very easy to read. The auto shut off is a nice feature, especially for our son as he never remembered turning off anything (lights, tv, stereo etc) when he was a kid and I doubt much has changed since then. targeted and easy to read. what more do you want? Highly recommended as a gift or for your own tool kit. It's just nice to play with him.
