Review of 3" Dimmable LED Gimbal Downlight w/ J-Box, 7W (50W Eq), 500lm, AirtightPROS: These are the nicest downlights I've found. They look great Expensive made and not plastic like other products in this price range They look better than the photo I am very happy with the way they look I was concerned they would not be bright enough at only 500 lumens I have 6 units installed in my kitchen and there is enough light They should be a bit brighter, preferably 600-700lm Very easy to install The quick connectors are very tight They are transparent so you can see if your cable is fully connected. The junction box is nicely designed and makes installation easy.CONS: There is a small issue with a design flaw.The springs are mounted on the outside of the body so the hole needs to be drilled 3.5" to accommodate to create for the feathers. . The springs must be embedded in the housing. The instructions are printed so small that I had to use a magnifying glass. The paper was the size of a playing card. It would not cost anything to print instructions larger. I don't understand why I see this so often in products. Installation instructions are not required, everything is very simple!
