I wish it would do what it should

The display is very nice. Navigating the display is easy. I have this for measuring the temperature of electrical connections and bearings. I work in a foundry where iron can get up to 3200 degrees Fahrenheit, so I thought it would be a good idea to also check the temperature of the iron, which is said to be between 2400 and 2700 degrees Fahrenheit. went into it. Milwaukee showed it at 240 and this one showed 60 at 110. Not very decisive in pace and way below what it should be. Now that I knew this was good for 3200 degrees I shot the molten iron, it read 140 with something and it should have been 2400+. I pointed it at a dark slag sitting on top of the iron and it showed 900 which should have been around 2000 degrees. Don't buy this unless disappointment makes you happy.
