Review on πŸ”Œ Mirror Mount Bracket + Mirror Wire Power Cord - Radar Mount for Valentine V1 Radar Detector by Troy Gerhardt

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not perfect, but not terrible either

Overall quality is good. The cable has a nice braid over the wire with heat shrink tubing on both ends. The bracket is metal with decent hardware, and the V1 bracket is a nice molding that looks OEM. The problem I had was that it's an expensive solution that doesn't look perfect once installed. A wire harness that plugs into the back of the mirror connector. not healthy. For my setup (19 F150) the racks were either too big or too small depending on the size chosen and ended up being a bit of a crappy solution. I could damage the mirror mount and why. To save money, pull a pair of tabs to route the wire to the fuse box. This strap adds about $10 to the cost of the mount ($18 if sold separately) and I wanted to forgo it in favor of a matching strap. The bracket is attached to the mirror as expected. I used a bit of neoprene in the jaws of the braces to secure them without chafing. Maximum adjustment was required to keep the detector firmly under the mirror. After installation I didn't like that the position wasn't exactly where I wanted and now I had to fiddle with the detector to align the mirror as well. The mount isn't bad. it's just not what i wanted. Overall, I felt like I was better served with something else.
