Perfect! Best in Car Electronics Accessories

Worked great in my 2010 Dodge Ram 1500. I keep seeing people complain about it being too low or out of place. I have zero problems. Tightened everything up very well. As for the bracket itself, I first angled it towards the front of the truck and then pointed the end towards the front seats and it was almost perfect. Tilted a little in my opinion and viola! The power connection and ground also worked well. Started with my 12 volt plug for this and next day installed the included faucet in my…

Good product but check your car

Check your car's electronic rearview mirror! On my 2015 M4 it's not ideal for the hand as it sits low. I'm a minimalist and prefer a cleaner look so I might be returning it due to this issue. The audition was very uncomfortable, but not because of the product. For the rear view mirror of my particular car I had to connect a rain sensor as the normal rear view mirror voltage connection is not strong enough. I didn't have a voltmeter so I had to crawl through the forums to solve this problem…

Good some time in radar detectors

I bought this, at first I liked it. However, it's been a little over a year, and now my radar is sliding back and forth almost freely. The wire came loose from the connector and I taped it back in place. It happened again. I live in New York, not too hot climate where I could justify this deformation (although there are no visible signs of deformation). It's winter now and it's getting worse. I will buy a new one. It definitely does its job. I just hope it lasts longer. Random acceleration…

I like the idea that everything is metal except for the mounting bracket. The electrics were very basic with great contacts and youtube videos. The entire installation took less than 10 minutes! I like the clean, minimal look and the best I can do is that there is a 1/2 to 3/4 inch gap between the bottom of the mirror and the top of the detector. How do I set the bracket. Just look at the picture in the description. Another issue is that the mounting screws for the included plastic mount don't…

Great bracket, crappy power cord

2020 Infiniti Q60 The bracket itself was very easy to install but the wiring harness was junk. The radar mount comes with everything you need to mount the radar detector. I didn't have to reuse any of the old mounting hardware from my original V1 mounting kit. On the other hand, I couldn't work with a wired cable. Although the cable set included an additional set of smaller taps to feed power from your electric mirror, I felt they were still too big to be useful. The smaller blade for the power

Worked great! in Automotive and Automotive Electronics

So I just got this for my Valentine V1 Gen 2 Radar Detector for use on my 2003 Chevy Silverado. I read that it works with gen 2 and doesn't work. But what can you use with the mount you have?!?! All I can say is that I have had no problems using the Valentine V1 mount that comes with this kit with my Gen 2 speed camera. It slipped right in and works as it should. I'm tired of my radar detector falling off my windshield because, at worst, suction cups will also pull out the power cord that's…

Not perfect, but not terrible either

Overall quality is good. The cable has a nice braid over the wire with heat shrink tubing on both ends. The bracket is metal with decent hardware, and the V1 bracket is a nice molding that looks OEM. The problem I had was that it's an expensive solution that doesn't look perfect once installed. A wire harness that plugs into the back of the mirror connector. not healthy. For my setup (19 F150) the racks were either too big or too small depending on the size chosen and ended up being a bit of a…

The V1 mirror mount is a great product.

V1 from the mid 90's. The old suction cup mounts were fine but sometimes had issues and would wear out and break after years of use. Also, when the V1 is mounted on the windshield, it gets in the field of view of my front camera, and I really don't want the V1 to pop up in the camera frame. This mount eliminated all the old problems and didn't introduce any new problems. Easy to install, very durable and I loved being able to connect the power and ground sensors to the existing wiring harness…
