The instructions were not so clear as to "if" a separate hard drive could be connected to the device instead of a flash drive. I used the included charger and cable and charged the device all night, but the battery doesn't seem to be charged. I don't know if I have a bad battery or a bad charger/cable. I switched to a different charger/cable that I know works. I will see if the device's battery is fully charged within the next 3 hours. I just received the device 2 days ago and charged it overnight. When I set the date/time, the home screen showed that the battery was charged. But when I connected it to the TV to start recording, the device fell and the battery icon showed low battery.
