It is foolish to follow the instructions and run the wire under the car to the battery. THE RIGHT THERE is a fuse box with unused wires for the trailer sockets. Remove the fuse cover, separate the white plastic fuse box from the mounting bracket to access the rear of the fuse box. Slot 11 is "Slot 1 Trailer (Optional)" which does not appear to be used in your vehicle as you are installing an aftermarket trailer harness. +12V (Red/Green) power wire, 10 gauge. Simply cut this wire where it enters the fuse box, terminate and use the butt connectors included with the wire harness. Route the power cord less than 1 foot, not all the way under the vehicle to the battery. (Remember to use the 15A fuse included with the harness).
