I bought this for leg surgery which makes showering difficult and a bit dangerous. My neighbor gave me an old chair similar to this one but the legs were frozen at a very low height making it unusable for me. This chair is exactly what I expected. There are handles on the sides and back. Its plastic surface is textured and easy to keep clean. And it's very durable despite being a lightweight chair. I considered not attaching the back, but in my case the back is welcome, adding very little weight and giving me another grip to grip. Very worth the money. I use mine in the spacious shower room. I can't say anything about using it in the bathroom.
