I hate giving bad reviews but stay away from this product. I know designers work hard to create useful, practical and interesting products. The problem is when they try to get very cheap prices with a production well below average. That is an unfortunate case with this waffle iron. I liked the idea of the interchangeable plates that allow you to make waffles, sandwiches and panini with one tool. I didn't like the Teflon idea, but sometimes it's unavoidable. The machine had this strange smell from the first use but it worked well and we thought it would go away with use. like most products made in China. After a few uses, the machine was still giving off that weird plastic smell, started overheating on the outside, and later we noticed the bulb covers were starting to look weird. After a few more uses that was it. Check out the photos for yourself. The plastic covers fell off completely, they got deformed from the heat, something inside still smelled somehow, and now this car is going in the garbage. Kill this product.
