I purchased this unit late 2018 - Single user household - Item is used liberally once a day maybe twice and kept spotlessly clean. It was great and worked well. About 2 years and 4 months into its life it suddenly started crashing with the same types of crashes that others have reported - all pointing to a problem with the processor/controller board. . It all started with the nozzle no longer retracting, giving you a super powerful self-cleaning jet when it should have been retracting. Then it began to retract or extend to a predetermined position sporadically. For a while I could unplug it, wait 20 seconds, plug it back in and it restarted and fixed itself. After about a month it went to reset which didn't work either and the problems progressed. The nozzle came all the way out instead of retracting after disconnecting and reconnecting, and it started spraying water all over the tub even when nobody was on it. Factory reset key combination stopped working. I covered the toilet with cling film and put my hand on the sedentary sensor to see what it was doing when I used the remote control and it was everywhere - pressing the button to move the nozzle forward, moved she herself back or not at all. Pressing the back button moves it forward. Pressing the water pulsation button in massage mode makes it move back and forth as if the move button had been pressed, while pressing the move button does nothing at all. Obviously, this isn't just a case of a bad sensor. As for the position of the head, the electronics inside completely fail after a while, indicating a manufacturing defect. I contacted the Bio Bidet warranty service about this and they told me I would have to ship the seat (at my expense - getting the box and proper packing material for something that size, plus shipping unassembled would be almost $30 cost), plus a 50% discount off the price of the bidet (ie $250), plus an additional $35 "disinfection" fee may apply at your discretion. So 28 months of using a bidet is expensive and the manufacturer charges around $300 for repairs, which is clearly a product design issue. Based on other reviews having the same issue, it doesn't look like there has been a redesign to prevent this issue from happening again in another 2 years. Ask yourself this before you buy or look elsewhere: $18/month for the first 28 months. +$11/month for the next 2 years (warranty repair costs after it broke 2 years later) after which the warranty is fully expired and you have to go again with a new unit you really want to spend on a bidet?
