I had three of these drives and unfortunately they all had the same problem: the cable doesn't fit properly and at some point the connection falls into the housing and you lose the drive. If you don't know how to disassemble the drive to remove the connector that fell in, you will lose the drive. You will see it starts because the cable is not properly connected. The device then has trouble finding the drive unless you tilt the cable. Then you try different cables, but they all give the same result. Eventually you try to change the angle of the cable and you end up destroying the connector. Then the journey is carried out. External hard drives are difficult when they really need to be portable. If you need a drive that can be moved from one place to another I would recommend a different brand than this.
