We have four now. The front desk of this busy medical clinic is tasked with scanning an insurance card to be used on each patient at every patient visit. Cards are often changed these days for various reasons and when we send an invoice that was declined because the wrong card was used, it takes extra effort and months to recover it. We scan hundreds of cards a day. It was necessary to read all the instructions and create a custom card size to scan so a slight placement offset doesn't cut things. It's all just common sense. Very nice scans. The best business card/insurance card/driver's license scanner and software I've ever seen. I've been in the medical field and IT in general since 1993, ever since a copier needed a ladder to clear paper jams. These are great little scanners and we're getting great performance from them. Reading the instructions is a must, and being able to think about what to do to get the results you want is also important. I'm sure a newbie off the street doing anything but the most basic mapping task would be better off asking a friend who has set up scanner software in the past, because to do that you need to know what you're trying to achieve, and knowing how to achieve that may require an adjustment.
