This is a kit to use on a Triton 2V engine if your chains are going bad due to a blown spark plug. I was in an accident about 20 miles from home, I couldn't screw in a new plug (I keep spares in my truck) so I knew the threads were fried. I shut off the injector and hobbled home and back on 7 cylinders. I ordered this kit, disassembled the air compressor and air ratchet (luckily I was able to use them), but I'm sure a standard ratchet will do. Now I have removed the intake manifold so there is more room to work. That would be my suggestion if it makes life a lot easier at home and remember it's a small price to pay for not having to remove the head. Make sure the cylinder is at bottom dead center with the valves closed and blow any chips out of the cylinder (wear safety goggles). I then put the spark plug in the new socket, applied permanent/heat resistant adhesive to the socket's threads that matched the head and bolted it down (not sure about the specs, just bottomed out and then pressed down a little). 1/8 turn) cleaned the inlet gasket mating surface, covered everything, let it sit and put it on for a few days (although I believe it only lasted 24 hours) then I went back and replaced all the coils and the Reinstall the intake manifold. After about 8,000 miles and not a single problem! And I have 7 missions left if I ever need them! Although I will try to take more preventive measures. I will use it when I overhaul the engine. Result. Use this kit, you won't regret it.
