READ THE REVIEWS - WILL LEAK AND therefore not safe for fuel systems

Like the other reviewer I have built cars, boats and planes and completely remodeled a few houses, I am an experienced 'repairman'. I bought one of the Dorman kits from a local auto zone to fix a leak caused by my coordination in the fuel line on my class C E-450 RV (drilling a hole for the rear HD stabilizer bar). This kit had a barbed connector for the plastic linkage, but trailing around the shock with the head on the driveshaft in a semi-seated position with bifocals that don't focus at that distance made power work almost impossible. a push-in fitting in the plastic line (and hot water wasn't an option, hot oil could have worked but it caused problems). So. I bought this product despite the reviews. I have used this type of fitting on several reverse osmosis systems with great success but NOT here. Installing this part presented no problems, carefully cut, press until it clicks (maybe with a slight clink) and everything should be fine. Crawled out from under the van (again) and started the engine, stood outside, turned around and looked down to see gas spray everywhere! A bad sign, and when I discovered that the gas is attacking the asphalt and getting to you and your clothes. straight in and out and it doesn't drip. I won't be driving the RV until I've replaced it, but at least I can move it if need be. Product.
