Easy to install and not leaking yet

It was a desperate attempt to avoid buying lots of fuel lines and dropping the fuel tank. Installation was easy, even in less than ideal working conditions. Make good square cuts at the ends of the line and paste them in. So easy.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Not bad but...

Worked on a 99 GMC Sierra

There was a hole in the return line on a 99 GMC Sierra 1500 that was leaking badly at idle. Cut the conduit and clean the cuts to 90 degree flush cuts and attach this connector by pressing firmly on each side. Easy installation and no leakage.

Pros
  • Fuel return line Decent performance
Cons
  • Long delivery

Easy to fit into the fuel system

Worked great. Used it to repair a 5/16 fuel line. Easy Installation I have a hard plastic line covered with an outer layer of rubber. I had to remove the outer cover enough to insert the connector. Using a craft knife, carefully remove the outer sleeve, then insert into the inner tube and snap into place, creating a tight seal. I used it on a 1991 F150 fuel return line.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • old

It seeped through the fittings and onto the barbed fittings and clamps

Tried to use this to repair a 1990 Ford diesel line that a dog ripped out while chasing a rodent on the tank. It didn't work out, the extra lines and barbs ended. Fitting the barbs was tricky and ended up having to use a lighter to heat the plastic fuel line to fit the barb into the plastic fuel line and that was after trying a heat gun, hot water. etc

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Secret

Great fuel line connector

My husband used this connector to repair a small animal damaged 5/16 inch nylon plastic fuel line on our pickup truck. He worked great. It is not necessary to heat the ends of the leads to install this connector. BUT, as mentioned in another review, it's important to flatten the ends of the fuel lines before inserting them into this connector...and hearing the click. Also note that the blue rings on the connector must be OFF (home position); Pushing INSIDE releases the line connection.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Nothing here

Leaks in supply and return lines

I just replaced the fuel system (including the spider injection system) on an older Chevrolet Suburban. I also had to do the entire rear braking system including skid plates (this includes removing the rear axles). I'm not telling you this to brag, I'm telling you that I'm not an inexperienced, self-taught locksmith. I replaced the corroded steel fuel lines with nylon 3/8 and 5/16. I couldn't seal these connectors properly. I understand how they work and installed them correctly, but they won't

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • Poorly thought out

READ THE REVIEWS - WILL LEAK AND therefore not safe for fuel systems

Like the other reviewer I have built cars, boats and planes and completely remodeled a few houses, I am an experienced 'repairman'. I bought one of the Dorman kits from a local auto zone to fix a leak caused by my coordination in the fuel line on my class C E-450 RV (drilling a hole for the rear HD stabilizer bar). This kit had a barbed connector for the plastic linkage, but trailing around the shock with the head on the driveshaft in a semi-seated position with bifocals that don't focus at…

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • So far so good
