I just replaced the fuel system (including the spider injection system) on an older Chevrolet Suburban. I also had to do the entire rear braking system including skid plates (this includes removing the rear axles). I'm not telling you this to brag, I'm telling you that I'm not an inexperienced, self-taught locksmith. I replaced the corroded steel fuel lines with nylon 3/8 and 5/16. I couldn't seal these connectors properly. I understand how they work and installed them correctly, but they won't take the load. This isn't Dorman. I have used their products and have never had a problem. I would suggest using compression fittings. Dorman manufactures nylon-to-nylon, nylon-to-steel, and of course steel-to-steel compression fittings for fuel lines. I've never had trouble getting the right seal with compression fittings.
