I have 2 different Lincoln welding caps. Both have problems with auto-darkening when I'm TIG welding pipes in the field. I literally got flash burned twice because of it. I borrowed this sheath from my supervisor and he has never had a problem activating the auto blackout during TIG welding...no matter how high or low the current is or what position I/torch is in. This case is strong and durable. through and it is very convenient. It's also very clear and easy to see. Like I said, it worked better than my two Lincoln Viking hats and even two welder's hats I borrowed from one of my formans the day I burned myself. That's why I bought it right here at Revain. If you TIG weld railings or pipes and have trouble with the auto-darkening feature...buy this and your troubles will be over.
