I like this little sharpener. On the day I received it, I used it on my everyday carry knife (4" liner lock) and took 12 strokes on both the carbide and ceramic sides. I followed the butcher steel. The immediate difference was striking .It has always been sharp but you could tell it was a big improvement.I ran it down my arm and most of the hair was shaved off leaving a bald spot.I've gone through all my knives (I have a lot) and them paid the same attention. I've also searched the kitchen knife drawer and breathed new life into all the chef's knives: boning, roast beef, utility knives. I even started a cleaver. And just toss them in a drawer until I need to brush them up again. Good product!
