🔪 Achieve Razor-Sharp Precision with the Hoffman Richter HR-1 Pocket Knife Sharpener Review

Most hand sharpeners are disappointing. Some work for a while and then fully. Some just fall apart. This is easy to use and got my blades razor sharp with just a few quick pulls through the V. It makes it easy to sharpen my EDC blades every morning before work. It actually takes about 1 minute to give the blade a nice edge. Excellent goods.

Excellent sharpener at an affordable price. I don't know how many of these sharpeners I've bought over the years, but there must be a dozen. They end up in drawers, tool boxes, tackle boxes, etc. They're easy to manage and work well. This one has extra nice rubber feet on each side to keep it from sliding around the table when you use it that way. This works great!

I thought this sharpener would work pretty well but it actually worked a lot better than I thought it would. I sharpened a new knife that was already sharp (I thought) and now it's incredibly sharp. I like this little sharpener. On the day I received it, I used it on my everyday carry knife (4" liner lock) and took 12 strokes on both the carbide and ceramic sides. I followed the butcher steel. I almost always stay away from these sharpeners. First, you never know what angle they are. I have one for Victorinox, 20ft, it fits my gear. I keep it in my tackle box in case a sling isn't a good idea for blood and guts. I'll keep my 22.5 pocket knives and some cheaper fillet knives. On a really sharp knife, this sharpener dulls the blade a bit, but I've used it on a dull knife and it's given a nice but less refined edge.
