Review on πŸš€ High-performance FormFutura ApolloX ASA 1: A Durable and Efficient 3D Printing Filament by Randy Albright

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Easy to print, good flow and durable. A good thing.

Grade A filament. Print quality is excellent. Printouts are clean even when using the standard ABS profile. I'm sure that a little tweaking will make them nearly flawless. Adhesion to the PEI film is excellent. In fact, it's almost too good, and some of my prints had slight discoloration on the underside due to the stress of peeling off the print surface. The flexible spring steel sheet definitely helps with removal. Because it is chemically similar to ABS, virtually all of the same post-processing techniques will work. This material can be steam smoothed, solvent welded and easily cut and sanded. Also, like other similar filaments, this material has a fairly strong odor when melted, so print in a well-ventilated case. A small exhaust gas scrubber also helps.

Pros
  • 3D printing filament
Cons
  • No power
